Enrollment Process
Here’s a breakdown of how our enrollment process works at Gestalt Community Schools!
Step 1: Application
We accept applications starting January 2026. Our initial lottery period is in February. To apply to our schools, families must fill out a simple, online application through our enrollment system called PowerSchool Enrollment. Link coming soon.
Step 2: Lottery
If we are over capacity after the application period, then we will initiate a lottery. Any applications submitted after the lottery deadline will be placed on a waitlist.
Step 3: Registration
Families approved during the lottery process will be notified and will have the option to accept or decline the offer. Families who accept will then go through the registration process, where families will complete all necessary forms for the upcoming school year.
Step 4: Parent Academy (Orientation)
Our Parent Academy sessions, which take place in the summer prior to the start of the school year, are required for all PCA families to attend.
Step 5: First Day of School
First day of school for the 2026-27 school year is Aug. 3, 2026.
Eligibility – TUITION FREE!
Enrollment in a Gestalt school is based on parent choice. Scholars are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, with no tests or interviews required. Any child who lives within Shelby County may enroll at a Power Center Academy, if seats are available.
